SYNOPSIS
Director Alethea Arnaquq-Baril takes on the misconceptions of commercial seal hunting, introducing us to the individual Inuit hunters and communities fighting to retain their ancestral rights and earn a living in today’s international monetary economy.
DIRECTOR'S BIO
Alethea Arnaquq-Baril is an Inuk filmmaker. She is known for producing and directing films about Inuit culture. Arnaquq-Baril operates Unikkaat Studios, a production company in Iqaluit, Nunavut and is president of the Ajjiit Nunavut Media Association.
