SYNOPSIS 

In a small coastal town, 16-year-old Manuel plays in a band with his best friends and shares an unbreakable bond with Felipe, who he's known since childhood. Manuel is also dating Azul, but he begins to feel something unexpected when it comes to their first time together, and it makes him see things in a brand-new light and tests his relationships.

DIRECTOR'S BIO

Mariano Biasin (Buenos Aires, 1980) graduated from Professional School of Cinematography of Eliseo Subiela in 2004. He has worked as Assistant Director on more than 30 feature films in Argentina, and in co-productions with Spain, USA, Brazil, France, Uruguay alongside Directors as Paula Hernández, Pablo Giorgelli, Eliseo Subiela, Diego Lerman, Gastón Duprat, Julio Chávez, among others. He directed the short films “Fabrizio’s Initiation” (2015), winner of the Crystal Bear Award at Berlinale – Generation Kplus 2016 plus 20 other awards and mentions, and “Hell in the Goal Area” (2020), which was recently acquired by HBO USA. He has also directed music videos and documentaries for the Finnish band Stratovarius. As musician, he is a founding member of the Argentinean band La suma de las Partes. “Sublime” is his debut feature film.
