DIRECTOR'S BIO

Javier Kafie (1982) was born in Mexico to Salvadorian parents. He lived and studied in several countries, finishing a his studies in Literature and Mass Media in Germany in 2008. Shortly after he returned to El Salvador, where he works directing documentaries. In 2014 he directed his first fictional short film.

Sergio Ruvalcaba started his film career in the Visual Arts Center with shortfilms; studying, at the same time, theatrical and film acting in Scene 3 a performing arts school. He finish college in May 2012 and in that same year won his first national (Morbid film fest) and international (FIBABC.es) nomination for R.E.M. (Short fiction) his feature debut as director and screenwriter.

Vlamyr Vizcaya is Colombian Filmmaker. He had produced in NYC: “Out of Love”, “Violet of a Thousand Colors” and “Nomads”, starring Lucy Liu and Tenoch Huerta. He was selected for Carrefour de la Créacion at the Annecy Animation Festival, and won the Producers´ Meetings in Cartagena 2012. In 2013 his script “YES WAY JOSE” won Mexico FIDECINE support. In 2014 awarded writers residency from Fundacion Carolina-Ibermedia.

Sarah Choi is an independent Korean-Canadian filmmaker currently based in New York City. After graduating from college with a degree in Biology, Sarah made a leap of faith by moving to New York City in 2010 to study documentary filmmaking. She's fascinated by the world of dance and animation and loves to incorporate them as powerful tool in her films. Sarah's recent music film, "Second Wind" was featured on Huffington Post and Eye on Dance..

In 2014 he was selected to participate in Talents Guadalajara and invited to discuss his work at Yale University.

She has been working professionally in the film industry for over nine years, including as an editor on several Sundance winning films and with several Academy Award nominated directors. Jess is making her feature directorial debut this year with The Light of The Moon.

Maryulis Alfonso Yero was born on november 23rd, 1988 in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. She studied music at the elementary level, majoring in bass; visual arts in middle level majoring in painting, and audiovisual media in higher education with a major in direction. She is currently completing the final year of the film direction program at the international school of film and television in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.

With a degree in Audiovisual Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (2011), Javier Ferreiro wrote and directed several short films during his studies. During 2011-2012, he majored in screenwriting at the Masters in Writing for Film and Television, Carlos III University of Madrid. In 2012, went to the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba), as a student of the Regular Course, in the directing film specialty. He is currently in his second year at school.
