The memory of the "King of Tango," Carlos Gardel, remains alive in every corner of the city of Medellín, where he died unexpectedly on June 24, 1935. His musical legacy is passed down from generation to generation among "Los paisas" (a term used for people born in this region), from their homes and neighborhood bars to the tango academies of the thriving Antioquian capital. Many claim that Gardel never died and that he was born again in Medellín; others say that "he sings better every day" and that he never truly left the city. "Thank you and farewell" were his last public words to Colombia and the world. A documentary that showcases the artistic greatness of the Argentine megastar.
