DIRECTOR'S BIO
Alberto Roblest´s visual poetry, digital still art and installations have been exhibited in museums, galleries and public art spaces in his native Mexico, the United States, Spain, India and in several other countries. He has won awards including fellowships from The Mexican Fund for Culture and the Arts. He published six four volumes of poetry.

SYNOPSIS
The film studies the concept of human-animal communication that has existed in civilization for longer than documented memoir. It has been a component of many myths and folk tales in numerous cultures. This is an attempt to interpret the communication between human and animal, which is a very profound, and trusting language.

SYNOPSIS
An experimental video created for the poem: Distintos Espantos (Different Ghosts) which discusses the concepts of origin, internal worlds and the enneagram of personalities, as well as the relationship of self and the world. With footage created in Copenhagen and Brooklyn during the fall and winter of 2013.

 

DIRECTOR'S BIO
Elizabeth Torres, Bogotá, Colombia. Poet, multi-media artist. Director of the art magazine Red Door since 2009. Elizabeth has been a resident of New York for the past 8 years and is currently in Copenhagen as curator of the gallery Rummet. Author of 17 poetry books, including "Preguntas sin Respuesta", named "best book of poetry of the year" by the Colombian Book Chamber. Winner of the Live your Life award by American Eagle Outfitters and previously, Poet in Residence of Kean University, where she studied Media & Film and Fine Arts. Elizabeth is also co-director of the Neverstop project and a member of the band Electric Set.

SYNOPSIS
There is a Chinese old saying that women are made of water. The short film examines the relationship between water and woman and uses water as a metaphor for the innocence of women. It also shows the gradual maturity of a woman, and the fear, confusion all along the way. It illustrates the struggle of growth as well as the serenity and peacefulness of feminism.

DIRECTOR'S  BIO
Story Chen is a freshman film student at NYU Tisch. She has produced and directed 2 short films. One of them ONCE was nominated as Best High School Work in Youth Vision Film Festival host by Communication University of China.

 

GARBAGE GIRL IN A DAILY CONSUMPTION

SYNOPSIS 
It is a day like any other. In "Garbage Girl in Daily Consumption" we follow Garbage Girl through one of her routine days to reflect our own individual damage we inflict on the planet.

Her desire to rid the world of trash leads her to a life of solitude while attempting to save what has not yet surrendered to filth. Through her trials and tribulations we experience the real-life onlooking when Garbage Girl´s green counter-culture faces our present consumer culture.

 

DIRECTOR'S BIO
Christopher Nostrand is a filmmaker from upstate Kingston, New York. He enjoys blending the art of storytelling along side powerful aesthetics to create personal and riveting pieces. Since a teenager he´s played with the camera with friends as a hobby which developed into his professional career. Currently he attends Graduate School for Integrated Media Arts at CUNY Hunter College in New York City and is runs his business Nostrand Productions,www.nostrandproductions.com.

Doctor in Brazilian Literature. Specialized in pos-production for cinema, tv and new media. Coordinator of Pajé  Filmes, an indigenous audiovisual group in Brazil. Curator of Mostra Pajé de Filmes Indí­genas in Brazil. Director of Caligrafilmes (2008) and Making of Dicionário (2012). Teacher of Graphic Design at School of Design of State University of Minas Gerais in Brazil.

SYNOPSIS
A man is torn between his own dreams and a very loud neighbor´s tv with a demential pornographic sound. The moans become intolerable for Francisco so he decides to put an end to the suffering by his own means.

 

DIRECTOR'S BIO 
Argentinian director & script writer. Lautaro begins his career in the industry as a production assistant in 2006 working in more than 50 commercials, national as well as international. In the year 2013 he writes, directs and produces his first web serie "The Gigants", promoted through Youtube. Recently he has finished writing the tv serie "Wilson" and his first feature film "The Coast", which is in search for funding.
