Tomas, an Afro-Colombian teenager who fled the country´s Pacific coast pushed out by the war, faces the difficulties of growing up in a city of exclusion and racism. When Jairo, his younger brother disappears, Tomas plunges in the streets of the city. His search becomes an initiatory journey that compels him to face his past and to leave aside the influence of his brothers in order to find his own identity. Tomas will reveal his value to deal with the fear, the nostalgia and the wounds of the past and start a new life at 2600 meters over sea level.


Juan Andrés Arango was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He has lived and worked as a director of photography in The Netherlands, Spain, and Mexico. In 2006 he moved to Canada, where he started shooting and directing documentaries. His first feature film, La Playa D.C., was part of the official selection at Cannes Film  Festival and was shown in 45 countries around the globe. He is currently developing his second feature, X Quinientos, which will be shoot in Colombia, Mexico and Canada.
